This is placClimate change has had profound and far-reaching effects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Rising temperatures have led to an increase in the frequency and severity of heatwaves, making living conditions unbearable in many areas. Water scarcity has intensified due to decreasing precipitation and unsustainable water management practices, placing stress on agriculture and exacerbating regional conflicts over limited water resources. Desertification has expanded as a result of changing rainfall patterns and overgrazing, threatening the livelihoods of communities dependent on arable land. Additionally, sea-level rise is a growing concern for coastal areas, such as Alexandria and the Nile Delta, which are at risk of inundation. These climate impacts have broader implications, including food insecurity, displacement, and heightened political instability, highlighting the urgent need for regional and global cooperation to mitigate and adapt to the challenges of climate change in the MENA region.eholder text.
